Edition
Community fits teams that can own more technical work and hosting. Enterprise adds official support options, hosting choices, and apps that matter for larger or more regulated rollouts. Choose with a written reason — not a default.
Phase-one scope
Start with the processes that hurt most — often Sales + Inventory, or Accounting + Invoicing. A narrow, successful phase one beats a wide, fragile launch every time.
Partner fit
Look for industry experience, a clear delivery method, and a bias toward standard Odoo before custom code. Ask how they handle change requests, training, and post-go-live support.
